Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Atmosfix does not collect or store personal data on our servers. We do not run analytics, tracking, or advertising identifiers.

2. Information Processed on Your Device

Atmosfix stores and processes information on your device. The Apple-service requests and optional iCloud storage described below are exceptions to device-only processing:

• Location data: Used to fetch local atmospheric pressure information if you grant permission.
• User content: Logs, notes, and preferences you enter in the app.
• Device data: Limited technical information needed to operate the app (e.g., app version).

3. Apple Services

To provide core features, Atmosfix uses Apple services:

• WeatherKit and MapKit: Location data is sent to Apple services to return pressure and place results.
• StoreKit: Subscription status is handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
• iCloud: Check-in sync is on by default when iCloud is available. Synced check-ins, including the notes and weather context you save with them, are stored in your private iCloud database under Apple's policies. You can turn sync off in Atmosfix Settings. Saved places and alert preferences remain on each device.
• HealthKit: Sleep, mindful-session and step reads are optional and requested separately. Atmosfix does not copy raw Health samples. If you enable a Health context type, bounded, derived 24-hour summaries can be saved with check-ins in a protected, backup-excluded file on that device. Those summaries do not enter the check-in iCloud database. Older check-ins can receive a derived summary from available Health history; its read time is shown.

4. How Information Is Used

• To provide pressure forecasts and alerts.
• To display and store your logs and preferences on your device.
• To sync logs across your devices if iCloud Sync is enabled.

5. Data Storage

• Your data is stored locally on your device.
• Check-in iCloud sync defaults on when available and can be turned off in Settings. Turning it off does not delete existing iCloud copies. Local records remain available when the app falls back to device storage.
• Saved places, pressure caches and alert preferences use an app group for native widgets and the Apple Watch companion. Health-derived context is not sent to widgets or Apple Watch.
• Ask Atmosfix handles questions on device using local rules and, where supported and available, Apple's on-device language model. Saved derived Health context is included in an answer only after a separate opt-in. It is not supplied to the language model.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Atmosfix uses the Apple services described above to operate the app. If you choose to export or share a file, the recipient and destination you select can receive its contents, including any derived Health context included in that export.

7. Your Choices

• You can disable location access in system settings.
• You can enable or disable iCloud Sync in Settings.
• You can edit, delete or export check-ins from within the app. An export can include derived Health context available on that device; review the file before sharing it. iCloud changes require connectivity and can take time to reach another device.
• You can revoke Health read access in system Settings and disable optional Health context types and Ask's separate Health opt-in in Atmosfix.
• You can manage notification preferences in the app.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as it remains on your device or in your iCloud account. You can delete your logs at any time.

9. Security

We use platform-provided protections (e.g., iOS/macOS security, iCloud security) to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy in the Service.
